So Typical
It is sometimes difficult for a busy 20-something living and working in New York city to set aside time with friends. All of my friends live fairly close, yet our schedules are so different that it is a treat when we all can actually come together. I am trying to make a valiant effort to not let friend time slip away, (see above image), as my friends are my family out here.

This is true of many big cities. I live in Toronto (just a little north of you) and it's the same vibe up here. There are far fewer people here (3.5 million compared to however many there are in NYC) and you'd think that with all our vaunted communication technology it would be easier to keep up with your nearest and dearest. Fact is, ever since I finally broke down and got my first-ever cell phone (a month ago) I've actually found it MORE difficult to keep in touch than I did before. Did you draw this little comic? I quite enjoyed it.
